Stephan Sude was born in Vaduz in 1962.

Sude's works are representative, but they are not naturalistic in the narrow sense. They are marked especially by forceful colors, a reduced division of surfaces, und by a rather matter-of-fact choice of themes. Increasingly there is manifested an interest in surfaces and in their interaction, and this determines the choice of themes and also the form of Sude's new works. His preferred techniques are those of oil painting, wood- and linoprints.
